A Mission Bay Landmark Lights Up Again

A Mission Bay Landmark Lights Up Again

Wiltek recently completed a keenly awaited upgrade to the historic Trevor Moss Davis Memorial Fountain in Mission Bay for Auckland Council. The Sicilian marble column was constructed in 1950, and puts on a regular show sending dancing water jets as high as 12 metres into the air, while at night it features a spectacular light show. In consultation with Auckland Council, we installed new energy-saving LED lighting, new water jets and filtration systems and new PLC controls for sequence of operations, with recorded history playback, and a computer-controlled display with new control valves. A new main switchboard was also added for more reliable, safer power distribution. These new additions make it not only more cost-effective to run, but safer and easier to maintain. The project took eight weeks to complete, and ensures the iconic fountain now has the right systems in place to continue to perform for its many visitors. Wiltek manages many similar projects for clients needing facility upgrades and ongoing facilities management. We can either undertake projects as one-offs, or as part of a programme of regular ongoing facilities and property maintenance and management. For more information, contact us.
